1. Open the hood and unscrew the mounting screws on the backside of the BMWs headlight assembly.
2. Pull the headlight assembly forward.
3. Unplug the halogen power connector from the headlight ballast.
4. Turn the headlight counterclockwise and pull the headlight out of the back of the headlight housing.
5. Insert the HID bulb into the headlight housing assembly. Align the tabs on the headlight with the notches in the headlight housing.
6. Plug the electrical connector from the HID converter ballast into the HID bulb ballast.
7. Plug the factory halogen electrical connector into the back of the HID converter ballast. Your BMW is now set up for HID headlights. The converter ballast will use your factorys headlight wiring to power the HID bulbs.

1. Gather all the supporting evidence you may need. If you sold your vehicle, you will need a copy of your bill of sale. If your car was written off in a car accident; you will need proof from your insurance company.
2. To cancel a dealership-issued warranty, deal with the dealerships finance manager. To cancel the original owner protection plan deal directly with BMW North America, call the necessary provider and get details regarding exactly how to cancel the plan; as each warranty plan has different terms and conditions.
3. For the original owner protection policy, BMW North America requires a reason for cancellation and a written letter detailing the cancellation or transfer. Prepare a signed letter, attach a copy of your proof, and mail directly to BMW North America.

1. Call your BMW lease-end relationship consultant at (800) 959-4BMW (4269) to arrange and negotiate a short-term re-lease. You may re-lease for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years.
2. Talk to your lease-end relationship consultant about the payment and terms of your re-lease. BMW Financial Services will determine a new lease payment within about 30 days out from your current lease maturity date.
3. Sign the new re-lease agreement to keep a lease on the BMW you are driving if you are satisfied with the terms.
